Life Goes On - I'll Miss You Stormy

I received this sad email from Stormy's two mistresses that adopted him before I moved to Australia. Poor fella. He was born in April of 2005, so just 9 years here on earth with we humans. We went through a lot together, Stormy and I. We traveled the country together for years, and he made it to all but Nunavut and PEI. Born on Cape Breton Island, he was a rough as guts scrapper from the barnyard. I named him "Stormy" after the snowstorm on Friday 13th of May that I drove through to pick him up in Baddeck. How crazy was I to pick up a black cat in a snowstorm on Friday 13th? We settled in easily together though, and I grew quite fond of the furry fella. He comforted me during the loss of my father and bravely survived the devastating house fire later that year. We toured the country in the Karma van visiting friends and family, and chilled with me in cabins in the woods watching the birds for hours in the Yukon and Sooke, BC. I even took him to Grand Bruit one summer to hang out at the ocean. He was my best friend. I'll miss you Stormy. meow...

Hi Jude,
blessings from Canada West Coast, where we are emerging from a huge snow storm.
It's with a sad heart that we write to let you know that Stormy has taken his big rest.  He died today, comfortably, with alot of love around and within him.
He is getting a big earth hug now, in a quiet part of our garden, with a forsythia shrub about to bloom over him.
He was diagnosed with cancer last year.  He was a courageous boy indeed to see this spring.  And now we know that he wanted to exit the story...with a snow storm.
Thank you for finding the link to us, that we may have had this amazing time with such a great being.  We feel forever touched.
We hope you are well where you are and that you continue to feel the goodness of life in your arms.
With love,
Eila & Liila
