Emily Gap

yellow throated miner

Went just out of town today to a pretty little spot called Emily Gap. A gap being a gap in the mountain range where the water and weather has ravaged over thousands of years, creating a divide. Saw the prettiest little birds (yellow throated miners) bathing here too and got some cool action shots. There wasn't much of a hike, as the road goes just about to the gap. The sand was a bit hot on the feet, but the bit of water left there is still icy cold for a nice contrast.
